29th September 2009: British Business Award winners? We need your help!

Fast growing company Ecotek, whose award winning Standby Saver ensured the company's first year sales approached £2.5m and with rapidly approaching second year sales of £4.2m, has been picked as a finalist in the British Business Awards held by the Chamber of Commerce in China.

The company is one of five finalists in 'Most Promising New Business' category.

The award winners are due to be identified at a ceremony in Beijing, China at the beginning of November.

Ecotek begain business in February 2008, and since that time has sold over 650,000 of the China-manufactured energy saving Standby Saver. Each product has the potential to save the householder over £43 a year. The company is to introduce another three carbon saving  products early next year and Standby Saver will enter the US, Canadian, Australian and South African markets within the next three months.

So why do we need YOUR help?

Online voting counts for 20% of the the award winning selection process and this is where YOU can help. You are cordially invited to spend a moment placing a vote for the company. We have only until Friday 9th October to vote online.

When voting you are asked for a comment. Our suggestion would be "Happy to save money on electricity bills and help the planet! "or "Great product from a 'great' British company".
