11th February 2009: Standby for a sell out on QVC

Standby Saver has gone down a storm on the popular TV shopping channel QVC. The energy saving device was in such demand that it quickly sold out, with over 500 units being snatched up at a rate of one per second. This was the first time the product had been aired on a TV shopping channel and the presenter Giles Day, representing one of Ecotek’s distribution companies, was delighted that his presentation so obviously hit the spot.

Giles highlighted how Standby Saver saves money, benefits the environment and is ideal for users with disabilities. He also demonstrated specific features such as its use of the consumer’s existing remote control, the ability to leave timed recorders switched on and its simplicity to operate.

Following its success, QVC are looking to re-order Standby Saver. Ecotek Sales Director David Wearing commented, “It is great news to sell out on the product’s debut on QVC, and we look forward to featuring again in the near future.”
