4th November 2008: BBC 'Look North' takes a look at Standby Saver
BBC meteorologist, weatherman and climate change correspondent Paul Hudson, recently used the Look North programme, reaching Yorkshire’s 4.9m viewers, to extol the virtues of the Standby Saver. He was horrified to realise that in Yorkshire alone, £70m is wasted each year on standby power and declared how many hundred tonnes of CO2 would be saved if we all took on the Standby Saver strategy.

Paul is a very concerned environmentalist and believes our responses to climate change are not nearly fast enough!
Ecotek Managing Director Tim Lindley was interviewed on the programme and pointed out how much the consumer would save by using the product. Any purchaser would reclaim the cost of the device within six months and would thereafter save money on their energy bills.
