17th October 2008: Another Great Standby Award
Another great piece of recognition was presented to the manufacturer of Standby Saver this week, when Ecotek UK collected the Sheffield Telegraph Environment Award for Innovation.
The newspaper holds the Environment Awards each year in the city and had seen the Standby Saver for the first time. Company representatives, including the technical director behind the ground-breaking product, were present to collect the award presented by BBC climate correspondent and meteorologist Paul Hudson.
“This is a great confidence boost for us,” said Ecotek UK managing director Tim Lindley. “We may know we are doing the right thing in targeting the environmental need, so it is fantastic to now receive this recognition.”
